The Daily Acca: Stay up late for a 21/1 MLS treble

The Daily Acca: Stay up late for a 21/1 MLS treble

It’s all about the MLS for Paul Robinson today as he has put together a near 21/1 Daily Acca across the three fixtures. Here are his selections:

Capital gains for New England

Bet 1: Back The Draw in DC United v New England @ 11/4 – KO 00:00 BST (Sat)

The hosts are second in the Eastern Conference but there are teams in behind them who have games in hand. Their record at Audi Field isn’t too bad, as they have proven hard to beat, but they have now drawn three of their last four there.

Their opponents tonight are New England Revolution and although the Revs are only eighth in the standings, they come into the match on a seven game unbeaten run – four wins and three draws.

Away from home it’s seven points from a possible nine of late for Bruce Arena’s side, but DC United rarely lose in front of their own fans, so I think that the draw is the value play.

Houston to remain undefeated at home

Bet 2: Back The Draw in Houston Dynamo v Los Angeles @ 3/1 – KO 02:00 BST (Sat)

Houston Dynamo have lost four of their last five MLS outings, but all of them were away from home. At the BBVA Stadium they are yet to taste defeat this term – seven wins and three draws.

The Orange Crush welcome a tough opponent tonight though as the team of the season are in town. Los Angeles are miles clear at the top of the Western Conference, as they have accumulated 43 points from their 19 fixtures to date.

Bob Bradley’s men are in red-hot form too as they thumped Sporting KC 5-1 in Kansas, before putting six past Vancouver in a 6-1 win last weekend.

Given the strength of Houston in Texas though, I am leaning towards the draw, and 3/1 is a fair enough price.

Goals on the menu at Dignity Health Sports Park

Bet 3: Back BTTS in LA Galaxy v San Jose Earthquakes @ 4/9 – KO 04:00 BST (Sat)

We finish in California for a clash between LA Galaxy and the San Jose Earthquakes that should produce goals at both ends.

The Galaxy put three straight home defeats behind them last time out here as they beat Toronto 2-0. Home clean sheets had proven to be fairly elusive prior to that though, as it was just one in nine this year.

The visitors should have more than enough to get a goal against such a leaky defence as they have netted in seven of their eight on the road this season. The problem for them though has been that they concede plenty themselves, highlighted by the fact that they have kept just the one clean sheet on their travels.
