The Daily Acca: Shamrock Rovers to be thwarted by Bohemians

The Daily Acca: Shamrock Rovers to be thwarted by Bohemians

Goals at both ends at Richmond Park

Bet 1: Back BTTS in St Patrick’s Athletic v Finn Harps @ 23/20 – KO 19:45 BST

The hosts are fifth of 10 in the league and that’s exactly where they finished last season. They come into this game having gone three without a victory, but they won’t get much of a better chance to end that run this evening.

Opponents, Finn Harps, are bottom of the table, and they have lost their last four outings. They had rallied following a bad start, but the newly promoted side are struggling once again.

I do feel that Ollie Horgan’s men can get a goal though, as they netted three times in a 5-3 defeat at Bohemians on their latest road trip, and they have scored in three of their last four away from home.

Cork to get a point in Sligo

Bet 2: Back The Draw in Sligo Rovers v Cork City @ 21/10 – KO 19:45 BST

Cork City finished second last season, but they have really struggled this time around. They are eighth with just 23 points from their 20 fixtures to date, and they have won just one of their last four.

Sligo Rovers are in sixth, and their biggest problem is the number of games that they have drawn. Seven of their 20 have ended all square – four of which have come from their last five on this ground.

Despite their troubles, the visitors have avoided defeat in three of their last four away from home, and that includes a draw at St Pat’s most recently.

Bohemians to continue to frustrate Shamrock Rovers

Bet 3: Back The Draw in Bohemians v Shamrock Rovers @ 23/10 – KO 20:00 BST

It’s second versus third at Dalymount Park this evening, and I’m expecting another tight game between Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers.

The Hoops are marginally odds-on to pick up the away win here, but their record against the Bohs must be a concern. Since their last win over them in May 2017, they have faced each other seven times, and they are yet to win again.

Keith Long’s men have also returned to form of late with back to back victories over Cork and Finn Harps, so while Shamrock have won their last two on their travels, I can’t see them taking all three points tonight.
