Russia vs Cyprus
Competition: Euro 2020 qualifiers
Date: 11 June 2019
Kick-off: 20:45 CET
Ruthless… Russia looked absolutely ruthless on Saturday hosting San Marino, searching for more and more goals after taking the lead, even after securing the victory and all three points. They were 4-0 up at halftime, they sort of… slowed down in the second half, but only until the 73rd minute. From that point until the final whistle, they scored five more goals, stopping at nine(!). The stadium was full (despite the fact that Russia were hosting weak San Marino), the atmosphere was festive, Stanislav Cherchesov’s team looked absolutely awesome on the pitch, so it was a… perfect afternoon for the Russians, who are now on six points from three matches in the group, having lost to Belgium on their debut, but demolished both San Marino and Kazakhstan after that.
Cyprus’ coach, Ran Ben Shimon, told reporters soon after the final whistle in Glasgow on Saturday that he did not know what to feel like, excited and thrilled about the way his team had looked, or disappointed, devastated, because of the negative result. Cyprus lost 2-1 in Scotland, equalizing 1-1 in the 87th minute, but conceding a second goal less than 120 seconds after that. They had to leave Glasgow empty-handed, they were left fourth in the group table, on three points from six matches, but Ben Shimon was adamant that his team have what it takes to give a real fight in this group, despite having rivals like Belgium, Russia, and Scotland. A draw in this game would keep them alive in the fight for the second spot. If they lose, even after a decent performance, the gap between them and Russia will be six points.

Russia vs Cyprus: Head to head Stats
Russia have hosted Cyprus just once before, something over 20 years ago; back then, they triumphed 4-0.
Russia vs Cyprus: Prediction
Cyprus are not… San Marino, but I still expect Russia to win, and rather easily.
Russia vs Cyprus: Betting Tips
Given that a simple Russia win pays just 1.20, I would try “Russia and over 2.5 goals”, at 1.80. Combined with “over 3.5 goals”, the hosts’ win is at 2.90.Do you want daily and profitable Betting Tips?
