Latvia vs Slovenia
Competition: Euro 2020 qualifiers
Date: 10 June 2019
Kick-off: 20:45 CET
Three matches in the group, three defeats, eight goals conceded, just one scored, things could hardly be any worse for Latvia, who lost on Friday as well, at home, 0-3, to Israel. A poor presence in the Nations League (no win, four draws, two defeats), is now followed by an abysmal presence in the Euro 2020 qualifiers, leaving coach Slavisa Stojanovic at at tough spot, as the team appear to be making zero progress. Actually, someone could say they are making steps backwards. They need… something, a win, and the fact that they are hosting the team sitting right above them in the group table, second-to-last, presents the Latvians with an opportunity, maybe, to leave some good last impressions before the summer break.
Slovenia had five 1-1 draws in a row before visiting Austria on Friday, but this time they failed to score. They conceded in the 74th minute, a 1-0 loss that left them on two points from three matches in the group, sitting second-to-last, five points behind second-placed Israel. The defeat in Austria was particularly painful, as the game was attended by thousands of Slovenian fans, who made the short trip to the neighboring country. In the Press conference after the match, Matjaz Kek, Slovenia’s coach, appeared… philosophical, suggesting all Slovenians fans do some thinking, ask themselves if the team are good enough to finish in the top two. He looked rather pessimistic, implying that if they don’t win in Latvia, finishing second in the group table would be almost mission impossible.

Latvia vs Slovenia: Head to head Stats
Latvia have hosted Slovenia just once before, something over 20 years ago; that game ended in a 1-2 Slovenia win.
Latvia vs Slovenia: Prediction
This game features two… desperate teams, two teams that know a draw won’t do any of them any good. I expect a tight game, with no more than two goals.
Latvia vs Slovenia: Betting Tips
Given that “under 2.5 goals” pays just 1.50, I would risk with “under 1.5”, at 2.50. Slovenia’s double chance combined with “under 2.5 goals” is at 1.75.Do you want daily and profitable Betting Tips?
