We kick off the weekend in Brazil, and Kev believes Bahia will pick up yet another home victory.
Hosts to maintain perfect home record
Saturday 13 July, 23:00
I usually enjoy a good Limerick, but the one we choselet us down. Bray played almost the entire second half with ten men, but still managed to win 1-0.
We head to Brazil now, because Bahia are up against Santos in a fascinating clash.
Bahia have been flawless so far at home, with four wins from four games at the Arena Fonte Nova. They are also chasing what would be a third straight home victory against tonight’s opponents. What has let them down this term has been their away form.
Santos, who have sold teenage superstars Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo to Real Madrid in the last couple of seasons, are flying high. They are second in the standings, and are trying to apply pressure to the leaders Palmeiras. However, it’s worth noting that they have failed to score in three of their last four away games in league and cup, and recently they were shredded 4-0 at Palmeiras.
Santos have already lost twice on the road this term in the Copa do Brasil, and they have only won two of their four away matches in the league. They have struggled recently in games at Bahia, and tonight’s hosts have been on impeccable form in front of their home fans.
I’ll back the hosts with a bit of insurance by using the Asian Handicap market.
