Nick Shiambouros is back with a couple of fancies from Yarmouth and Kempton…
Tom to boss field
Tom Tulliver should make the most of his recent racecourse experience in this maiden.
Earlier this month he turned in a solid effort on debut when finishing third to Al Aakif at Nottingham. He stayed on well in the closing stages, and finished the race with good energy. I think there is more to come from this Hot Streak colt, and is fairly priced at [3.9] on the exchange.
Michael Bell sends out the current favourite Otago who is trading at [2.64] on the exchange. He finished a closing fifth to Platinum Star over six furlongs at Leicester last month, and has every right to improve.
Interestingly he races over the minimum trip today, which is not ideal in my opinion.
Raining Fire to hot to handle
Raining Fire should run well at a decent price in this novice stakes.
This Kitten’s Joy gelding finished ninth to Logician on debut at Newbury. He made a little progress in the closing stages, but never delivered a challenge. This winner is useful, and this had the look of an above average maiden. The Fanshawe yard is going well, and I am expecting a much improved effort from him. At present he is trading at [13.5] on the exchange.
Caravan Of Hope heads the market at [3.65] on the exchange.
He finished second in a Carlisle maiden last month, but it did not look a particularly strong race. Looks short enough.
