Argentina vs Colombia
Competition: Copa America
Date: 16 June 2019
Kick-off: 00:00 CET
Argentina’s coach, Lionel Scaloni, made no effort to hide his intentions regarding the starting lineup in this game; for more than a week now, in all training sessions, he showed that he had his mind made up, and nothing changed the last couple of days. Franco Armani, Renzo Saravia, Germán Pezzella, Nicolás Otamendi, Nicolás Tagliafico, Giovani Lo Celso, Guido Rodríguez, Leandro Paredes, Ángel Di María, Lionel Messi and Sergio Agüero, these should be the first 11, in Argentina’s first game in a competition they haven’t won since 1993(!). They have lost four finals since then, four of the last five actually, two to Chile and two more to Brazil. From everything their players said these last weeks, what drew my attention the most was something Agüero said, that he wants this title more for Messi than for himself, feeling that in a way, the national team of Argentina “owe” their iconic leader a big title.
Reza Ghochannejhad, member of Iran’s national team, where Carlos Queiroz spent the last eight years, “accused” the Portuguese of obliging the team to play too defensively last year in Russia’s World Cup finals. Iván Zamorano, a Chile legend, told reporters the other day that Colombia look more “European” under Queiroz, at least looked so in the four friendly games they played after the Portuguese took over, last February. I would say both are right, but Queiroz himself would argue that last year, in Russia, he had what he felt he had to do, given the roster he had available. Colombia are not Iran; they have incredible players in midfield, as well as strikers, and Queiroz didn’t even try to… mess with that. What he did try, and he mostly succeeded, was make Colombia’s defence look more solid. Clean sheet against Japan, same against Panama and Peru, six goals scored in their last two friendly matches, both 3-0 wins. They did lose 2-1 to South Korea, back in March, a game from which they appear to have learned things.

Argentina are considered favorites to win, but I would not bet on that.
Argentina vs Colombia: Betting Tips
Colombia’s win in “draw no bet” is at 2.35. Their double chance is at 1.67, going up to 2.50 if combined with “over 1.5”. I expect them to take the lead, and earn at least a draw after that.Do you want daily and profitable Betting Tips?
